Our Campus
The place to grow
Emerson College is more than a campus. It is a living system, shaped by land, learning and community. Set on the edge of the Ashdown Forest in East Sussex, the Emerson estate offers an environment where place itself becomes one of our teachers.
Rooted in anthroposophy and stewarded with care over many decades, the campus supports reflection, creativity and meaningful education. Many who study or visit here recognise a distinct quality – one that arises from a deep connection to the land and to the work carried out here.
Land, garden and biodiversity
Located in Forest Row, East Sussex, Emerson has, for over 60 years, helped shape and inspire the lives of people from all over the world – individuals seeking to learn, grow and live in harmony with nature and spirit.
Founded in 1962, Emerson offers a rich programme of courses, workshops and community experiences that bring together head, heart and hands in service of personal, social and ecological wellbeing. Our courses explore subjects such as Anthroposophy, holistic science, arts, education, ecology, and health studies – blending intellectual understanding with creative and practical experience.
