DESCRIPTION:Join yoga teacher\, teacher trainer and nutritional therapist Charlotte Watts for a weekend of deeply nourishing Somatic Therapeutic Yoga practice. Whether you simply want the therapeutic benefits of this work for yourself\, or wish to bring it into your own teaching\, this retreat offers a space for deep connection\, self-compassionate practice and embodied awareness. \nThe somatic teachings across the weekend are fluid\, explorative\, restorative and meditative in nature\, influenced by Feldenkrais\, Qi Gong and other embodied movement practices – moving away from achieving specific yoga poses and towards a genuine\, felt sense of awareness in the body. \nThe weekend includes somatic practice sessions on Friday afternoon and evening\, Saturday morning and afternoon\, and Sunday morning\, plus a sound bath on Saturday evening. All vegetarian meals (with vegan\, gluten-free and dairy-free options) are freshly prepared from organic\, locally-sourced produce\, and 8 CPD/CE hours are available for yoga teachers. Drawing on somatic frameworks and psycho-neuro-endo-immunology\, she has written extensively on yoga therapy and health and is the author of several books in this field. \nUseful Information\n\nResidential (single room): £540 full price / £490 for those also on the 200-hour training\nNon-residential: £380\n£80 non-refundable deposit to book; balance due 8 weeks before the retreat.
