Our Vision, Mission & Values
What we stand for
Emerson College is guided by a clear purpose rooted in its spirit of place, educational approach and commitment to meaningful transformation.
Our vision, mission and values provide the foundation for how we teach, learn and work together.
Vision
To be a leading international centre for transformative learning, research, and the practical application of Rudolf Steiner's Spiritual Science, dedicated to shaping a more humane and regenerative future through the spirit of place and the integrated practice of Health, Education, Arts, and Land.
Mission
Emerson College advances adult and higher education, training, research and public life through it's four pillars: Health, Education, Arts and Land. Rooted in the Genius Loci of Emerson, we nurture transformative education that weaves practical activity, thinking, imagination, inner development, enabling people to realise their capacities and contribute meaningfully to society.
Values
Our work is expressed through four interconnected areas:
- Health – supporting wellbeing through holistic understanding and practice
- Education – offering transformative adult learning experiences
- Arts – placing creativity and imagination at the centre
- Land – learning through direct relationship with the natural world
Together, these form an integrated approach that connects inner development with practical life.
