Health Studies

This part-time training offers a living experience of spiritual-scientific research as a foundation for therapeutic work and personal development.

Designed for health-care professionals—including complementary practitioners and anthroposophic therapists in training—the course explores how Goethe’s and Rudolf Steiner’s approaches to understanding nature and the human being can enrich modern healthcare.

Through a balance of study, observation, and artistic practice, participants cultivate a deeper understanding of body, soul and spirit, discovering new ways of perceiving health, illness, healing and resilience.

The programme consists of nine modules over three years, each lasting 3.5 days

(Thursday 09:00 – Sunday 12:45).

Year Three Seminars

This programme is open to all health-care professionals seeking to:

• Deepen their therapeutic work through a spiritual-scientific perspective
• Engage with experiential learning through art, biography work and nature observation
• Explore the human being beyond physical and psychological dimensions

No previous knowledge of Rudolf Steiner’s work is required.

Nature and Phenomenology

• Observing the Four Elements and the Four Kingdoms of Nature
• Exploring the therapeutic value of plants through direct observation
• Working with metals, planets and their healing correspondences
• Exploring biodynamic agriculture, healing nature and nutrition

Human Biology and Morphology

• Re-experiencing anatomy in a more living, dynamic way
• Rediscovering the alchemical Tria Principia
• Understanding child development as a foundation for resilience and vulnerability

Spiritual Development and Biography

• Developing self-knowledge and inner attitudes that foster healing
• Reflecting on initiation trials through life experience
• Engaging with the Celtic and spiritual heritage of the British Isles

Artistic and Experiential Learning

• Clay modelling, painting and eurythmy to deepen perception
• Discovering the healing qualities of artistic activity

Healing, Therapy and Anthroposophic Medicine

• Understanding mental health and illness from an anthroposophic perspective
• Exploring childhood and old-age illnesses, feverish and sclerotic conditions
• Experiencing anthroposophic nursing and holistic pharmacy

 

Nine in-person modules over three years, each 3.5 days long.

Modules blend:

• Spiritual-scientific study
• Nature observation and phenomenology
• Artistic practice
• Biographical reflection
• Therapeutic insight drawn from anthroposophic medicine

A CPD certificate is issued for each module, and a Full Course Certificate is awarded upon completion of all nine modules.

• A concise personal statement including information on your background and motivation to take part in the programme
