We encourage applicants to apply as soon as they are ready to submit their application as applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

We will publish the details on this site of all programmes that are full as soon as the decision to close admissions for the year has been confirmed.

Entry requirements:

We hope to welcome a diverse group which may include young adults taking a gap year, or those with a previous professional training and experience, either taking a sabbatical or in search of a new, more creative or more socially/environmentally engaged direction to their work.  As explained on the previous page, we ask for a written personal statement with a particular question, concern or aim formulated, with a view to your working on it through the course of the programme.

You will be expected to demonstrate that you have a reasonable knowledge of the English language.

How to apply:

All applications are to be submitted via our Online Application Portal.

Click apply to start your application.

You will be asked to register. Once you have registered, you will be given an Application Reference Number. This number should be quoted in all further correspondence and on any papers that you wish to submit separately.

You will be able to save your work and retrieve it later, so you do not have to complete it all in one go.

To complete your application you will be asked to fill out the following sections:

  • Applicant details
  • Employment details
  • Medical details
  • Course information
  • References

As part of your application you will be expected to provide:

  • 2 passport photos
  • A personal statement outlining why you want to study at Emerson College, why you have chosen this particular course and what you propose to gain from your studies.
  • Academic Referee Contact Details: When you make an online application, a request for a reference will be automatically emailed to your referee. Please make sure that you provide your referee’s full contact details when you make your application.

Acceptance Letter

Once your application and accompanying paperwork is received you will be contacted, and phone, Skype or face-to-face conversation may be arranged.  After you have received formal acceptance we will send you an Acceptance Letter with more details of the course.

Deposit and Refund Policy

A deposit of £200 is part of your tuition fee to be paid upon official acceptance on the course. You are not fully confirmed on the course until this deposit is received. £100 is refundable if you cancel before 1 August 2018. The deposit is not refundable should there be cancellation after that date. Remaining course fee is due by 1 September 2018.

If you cancel within 14 days of application submission any payment made will be refunded in full. If the course has started within this 14 day notice period, you may be liable for those days attended. You must make your cancellation in writing. For a copy of our Cancellation Form, please see our web site at http://www.emerson.org.uk/images/Downloads/Documents_for_student_resources_page/Policies-Procedures2016-17.pdf
