Emerson College is a centre for adult education and hosts retreats, conferences and courses. We are beautifully situated in a Botanical Garden, an Apple orchard, a vegetable, flower and herb garden. Our kitchen is well known for its creative and seasonal meals.
Main Tasks:
We are looking for an experienced cook and several kitchen assistants to join our team in the Emerson Kitchen. We are a fully Organic/Biodynamic kitchen using seasonal produce from our own garden and other local gardens and UK growers. We are looking for people who have worked with Organic/Biodynamic produce and have experience with Vegetarian nutritionally rich, balanced, colourful meals made from scratch. Experience cooking for groups ranging from 40-200 people would be ideal
Hours of work:
24 hours per week, additional hours may occur and will be arranged in agreement with the Kitchen Manager and Head of Operations
Working days will include weekends and evenings in order to cover 7 days / week, depending on the demands of the Venue.
Salary:
Range A1 to A3 as £11.90 to £12.71 (£24,757.20 to £26,433.90 pro rata)

Main Tasks:
The Hospitality Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of 60 bedrooms, 8 venue spaces, 3 dining rooms, common areas such as libraries, small meeting rooms and offices.
The successful candidate works closely with the Events Manager, Catering Manager, Café Manager and Reception Manager and the Hospitality Team of 6 colleagues on a daily basis.
Hours of work:
40 hours weekly, including weekends; this is a permanent position.
Salary:
Range M1 to M3 as £26,889.30 to £28,112.30 (depending on experience)
