Key Dates: Applications 2019/20
We encourage applicants to apply as soon as they are ready to submit their application as applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
We will publish the details on this site of all programmes that are full as soon as the decision to close admissions for the year has been confirmed.
Entry requirements:
We hope to welcome a diverse group which may include young adults taking a gap year, or those with a previous professional training and experience, either taking a sabbatical or in search of a new, more creative or more socially/environmentally engaged direction to their work. As explained on the previous page, we ask for a written personal statement with a particular question, concern or aim formulated, with a view to your working on it through the course of the programme.
You will be expected to demonstrate that you have a reasonable knowledge of the English language.
How to apply:
All applications are to be submitted via our Online Application Portal.

You will be asked to register. Once you have registered, you will be given an Application Reference Number. This number should be quoted in all further correspondence and on any papers that you wish to submit separately.
You will be able to save your work and retrieve it later, so you do not have to complete it all in one go.

Acceptance Letter
Once your application and accompanying paperwork is received you will be contacted, and phone, Skype or face-to-face conversation may be arranged. After you have received formal acceptance we will send you an Acceptance Letter with more details of the course.
Deposit and Refund Policy
A deposit of £200 is part of your tuition fee to be paid upon official acceptance on the course. You are not fully confirmed on the course until this deposit is received. £100 is refundable if you cancel before 1 August 2018. The deposit is not refundable should there be cancellation after that date. Remaining course fee is due by 1 September 2018.
If you cancel within 14 days of application submission any payment made will be refunded in full. If the course has started within this 14 day notice period, you may be liable for those days attended. You must make your cancellation in writing. Application deadline:
The last day for applying for the course is 1 August 2018. Please contact the Registrar at Emerson College after this date to see if there are spaces.
Fee Policy
Attending our course is a matter of mutual commitment. We make a commitment to the course staffing and content. Students make a commitment to attend the whole course and pay their tuition fees and living costs. We acknowledge this commitment by trying to keep costs at a level which is compatible with providing a healthy and productive learning community.
Course cancellation
In the unlikely event the course should cancel due to low enrolment you will be notified by 1 August 2018. Any payments made toward course fees will be refunded to you. It is recommended you take out travel insurance to protect yourself in the unlikely event the course should cancel. There are no refunds for missed days or modules.
Emerson College is a friendly, informal Community and welcomes people of different ages and backgrounds from all over the world. Single rooms are available and are equipped with a single bed, desk, lamp, chair and linens. Bathrooms and showers are shared. Accommodation and meals are booked and paid separately through the Emerson website http://www.emerson.org.uk/calendar.
Disability or Learning Difference
Emerson College welcomes you if you have a physical disability or learning difference. ?The Academic Board for Concessions and Discipline (ABCD) can make judgements about the extent to which qualifications or experience gained elsewhere may be accepted in partial fulfilment of its requirements for a given award.?
