Events Manager
Cook | Catering Team
Emerson College is a centre for adult education and hosts retreats, conferences and courses. We are beautifully situated in a Botanical Garden, an Apple orchard, a vegetable, flower and herb garden. Our kitchen is well known for its creative and seasonal meals.
Events Manager
Main Tasks:
We are looking for an events manager who will be responsible for promoting, arranging and hosting events, managing and communicating information with other departments, receiving students and tutors, providing all the logistics for the other departments to host courses. You will be passionate about delivering professional, efficient and exceptional guest service at all times and will also possess strong organisational skills.
Hours of work:
40 Hours weekly from Tuesday to Saturday.
Salary:
Range £26,889 – £28,112 gross per year depending on experience paid monthly in arrears; this is a permanent position.

Cook | Catering Team
Main Tasks:
We are looking for an experienced cook and several kitchen assistants to join our team in the Emerson Kitchen. We are a fully Organic/Biodynamic kitchen using seasonal produce from our own garden and other local gardens and UK growers. We are looking for people who have worked with Organic/Biodynamic produce and have experience with Vegetarian nutritionally rich, balanced, colourful meals made from scratch. Experience cooking for groups ranging from 40-200 people would be ideal
Hours of work:
24 hours per week, additional hours may occur and will be arranged in agreement with the Kitchen Manager and Head of Operations
Working days will include weekends and evenings in order to cover 7 days / week, depending on the demands of the Venue.
Salary:
Range A1 to A3 as £11.90 to £12.71 (£24,757.20 to £26,433.90 pro rata)
