Dr James Dyson

Course Leader, Doctor, Psychosynthesis Psychologist & Teacher

Dr James Dyson studied medicine at London University, qualifying as a medical doctor in 1975.  He was the co-founder of Park Attwood Clinic in 1979, where he worked for 25 years.

Since leaving Park Attwood, James’ increased his long-standing commitments in the field of adult education,  initially in the areas of mental health, child development and general medicine. He has contributed over many years to Biographical Counselling trainings, and to programmes in anthroposophic psychology.

James has been a faculty member of the Medical Section’s Mental Health Seminar (UK) since 1990 and the International Training in Anthroposophic Medicine since 2019.

He has also contributed to courses and seminars on medical and psychological themes in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Croatia.  He was a founding faculty member of the Association for Anthroposophic Psychology in the USA, in 2015, which offers courses in anthroposophic psychology in centres in the USA.

James is inspired by the opportunity to bring higher purpose, meaning and value into human relationship, and deepen an understanding of its embodiment.

James completed a training in Applied Psychosynthesis at the Institute of Psychosynthesis, London, between 2003 and 2008, and was later awarded a Masters’ degree in Psychosynthesis Psychology from Middlesex University.
